Somatic cell count is a measure of cow herd health, and therefore quality. Gillibrand wants the lower count threshold to make US milk more marketable globally. She says New York farmers have the 'highest-quality milk on Earth,' so this should not be an issue in this state or anywhere in the Northeast. WORLD SCHOLAR ON FLUID DYNAMICS SAYS INCREASED AIR TRAFFIC HAZARDS CAN BE SOLVED--Dr. Fazle Hussein from the University of Houston, the world's foremost expert on fluid dynamics, speaking on the Clarkson University campus Friday to a crowd of more than 200 students and faculty says he and his team of reseachers are looking for a cost-effective method to reduce the impact of the vortex from airplanes, that would allow them to fly more closely together and to take off in shorter intervals. The vortex issue is viewed as a major world problem, as air traffic is increasing exponentially. DOMESTIC DISPUTE SENDS MADRID MAN TO LOCKUP--Sheriff's deputies arrested 35-year-old Alex Amyot Saturday on numerous counts alleging violence to include punching, kicking, and shoving his wife, and taking the phone away from her so she could not call for help. Amyot was arraigned and jailed on 1000 dollars cash bail or 2000 dollars bail bond. no obituaries today
