GIRLS BASKETBALL OVERALL SEMI-FINAL
MASSENA 44, MADRID-WADDINGTON 32
The Red Raiders earn a trip to the overall final pulling away with a big second half run.
Madrid-Waddington would give all the Raiders they could handle as they chipped away from a ten point lead after one quarter. At halftime they trimmed the Massena lead to five and tied the game at 22-22 on a three pointer in the third by Bridget Beldock.
However the Raiders ended the contest on a 22-10 run as PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Alisha Jacobs scored the first five points of the fourth quarter to push the Massena lead eight as the Riaders out scored the Jackets 15-6 in the fourth quarter.
Jacobs scored 17 points and pulled down 7 rebounds in the win. SUBWAY SUB OF THE GAME Kristen Mckeel scored six fourth quarter points and eight in the game.
For Madrid-Waddington, Beldock hit three 3-pointers and scored 10 points. EVANS AND WHITE TOUGH AS NAILS PLAYER OF THE GAME Katie Marcellus score eight points and pulled down 10 rebounds.
