99 NEWS HEADLINES FOR SATURDAY, 2/19/11 64 FELONY CHARGES FILED IN MASSENA VANDALISM INVESTIGATION--Village Police arrested 19-year-old Cody Anderson of Mc.Kinley Avenue and 18-year-old Brian Doman of Parker Avenue Friday afternoon on 32 counts each of Third Degree Criminal Mischief, alleging they participated in vehicle window-smashings and other property damage incidents late Thursday night into early Friday morning. The incidents occurred in neighborhoods throughout the village, not concentrated in one area. Both teens were arraigned before Village Justice Eric Gustafson and jailed on 2500 dollars cash bail or 5000 dollars bail bond. Police say more arrests are expected as they continue to investigate. DISCUSSION ABOUT CHILI COOK-OFFS FRIDAY A 'GREAT FIRST STEP,' CHAMBER SPOKESPERSON SAYS--Alison Power of the St.Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce told us yesterday the State Health Department has agreed to try making regulations more understandable, saying they do not want to shut down chili cook-offs and other similar events where home-cooked food is brought in for people to consume. The popular Canton Winterfest Chili Cook-Off was canceled last week because of DOH rules. Power says the Chamber-facilitaed discussions will continue.
