Madrid-Waddington Girls Cruise to C Finals Over Tupper Lake

99 SPORTS FEATURE GAME ON 99.3 FM WSNN

GIRLS CLASS C SEMI-FINALS

MADRID-WADDINGTON 60, TUPPER LAKE 30

The second seeded Yellowjackets advance to the Class C Title game with a stronf defensive effort against the Lumberjacks.

Madrid-Waddington spread out an eight point first quarter lead with a 20-5 second quarter as PEPSI NPLAYER OF THE GAME Bridget Beldock led her team on both sides of the court with several steals and 11 points by hafltime.

Tupper Lake did manage to win the third 15-12 but the Jackets buckled down in he fourth holding the Lady Jacks to just four points in the fourth quarter. On the glass, EVANS AND WHITE TOUGH AS NAILS PLAYER OF THE GAME Kristen King produced a double double with 10 poiints 12 rebounds. Shelby Gausby tallied four off the bench to earn SUBWAY SUB OF THE GAME.  Beldock led all scorers with 22. 

For Tupper Lake, Sam Sanford hit a three pointer and scored nine in the effort. The Jackets advance to next Friday's Class C title game against Brushton-Moira. The game begins at 4:30 at SUNY Potsdam
