PAVLUS TO WEST COAST TO COMPETE IN NATIONAL EVENT
St. Lawrence University senior Wendy Pavlus, winner of back-to-back Division III cross country national championships, will compete in the 2011 USA Cross Country Championships in San Diego, CA on February 5.

Pavlus, a native of Tupper Lake, NY, will race against some of the premier runners in the nation, including 2008 Olympic bronze medalist and defending USA champion, Shalene Flanagan, and bronze medalist from the world championships, Kara Goucher. Pavlus is one of six collegiate runners entered in the competition, and the only Division III competitor. The event also serves as a qualifier for the World Cross Country Championships to be held in Spain in March this year.

HADLEY NAMED TO COACHING STAFF
Greg Hadley, a former defensive standout at Colgate University, has joined the St. Lawrence University football coaching staff.

Hadley arrives in Canton, NY after a one-year stint as a defensive assistant at the University of Rhode Island. He coached the cornerbacks throughout the season, assisted with special teams and was responsible for all in-season film breakdown.

During his four-year career with the Raiders, he played 40 games and earned four varsity letters. As a senior in 2009, the Fayetteville, NY native recorded 67 tackles en route to being named to the All-Patriot League team for the second-consecutive season. In 2008 as a junior, he led the team in tackles with 80.
