Ralph Temgoua Liberty League Co-Guard Of the Week Temgoua averaged 19.5 points per game, including a career-high 29-point performance in a 74-66 win over Skidmore, in leading St. Lawrence to two wins on the weekend
Felix Llanos Liberty League Co-Guard Of the Week Llanos averaged 20.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per contest in a weekend split against Skidmore and Union. Versus Skidmore, he scored 16 points with 7 rebounds and a pair of steals, and against Union, he scored a career-best 25 points with 7 rebounds, shooting 7-for-10 from the 3-point line.
Katie Edgerton Liberty League Co_Guard Of the Week Edgerton averaged 16.5 points per game, including a 21-point performance in a 67-58 win over Skidmore, helping the Saints to a 2-0 weekend. The Shelburne, VT native also averaged 3.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds over the two-day stretch.
Kelly Legg Liberty League Co-Rookie of the Week Legg averaged 17.5 points per game on the weekend, including a game-high 25 points against Union, leading the Saints to two wins. The Fairport, NY native also averaged 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game.
Jared Pellerin Liberty League Co-Swimmer of the Week Pellerin was a double winner in the Saints' 135-105 loss against Potsdam State on Saturday. The Plattsburgh, NY native won the 1000 free in 10:20.71 and the 200 fly in 2:10.45.
Dan Ramsey Liberty League Co-Track Performer of the Week Ramsey won the mile in a ECAC qualifying time of 4:17.94 at the 12-team St. Lawrence Indoor Invitational on Saturday.
Wendy Pavlus Liberty League Co-Track Performer of the Week Pavlus was the collegiate winner in the 5000 meters at the 12-team St. Lawrence Indoor Invitational, running an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 17:23.08.
Lisa Baron Liberty League Co-Field Performer of the Week Baron won the shot put with a ECAC qualifying throw of 12.22 meters and was eighth in the weight (11.52m) in the 12-team St. Lawrence Indoor Invitational on Saturday.
Victoria Bean Liberty League Co-Rookie of the Week Bean was third in the triple jump with a 10.78 meter mark, meeting ECAC qualification, was sixth in the long jump and ran on the 4th place 4x200 relay at the St. Lawrence Indoor Invitational.
ALEXANDER TAYLOR SUNYAC MEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK Alexander Taylor led the Bears to consecutive dual meet victories over Clarkson and St. Lawrence with five individual wins on Jan. 21-22. Taylor captured the 500 free (4:59.43) and 1000 free (10:36.04) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:04.57) against the Golden Knights on Friday. On Saturday, he won the 200 free (1:51.52), 500 free (5:00.60) and was part of the winning 400-medley relay (3:46.81) against the Saints.
ROY MANED ECAC WEST WOMEN'S HOCKEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK The Eastern College Athletic Conference has named SUNY Potsdam hockey player Breanna Roy (Orleans, Ontario/Nepean Wildcats) the ECAC West Player of the Week for the week ending January 23. Roy scored three goals in the Bears two-game sweep of Cortland on Jan. 22-23. On Saturday the junior got her first of the weekend and on Sunday she scored two power-play goals, including the game-winner. The second goal on Sunday gave Roy 50 points for her collegiate career. She is the Bears’ third leading scorer with five goals and eight assists for 13 points. Roy is tied for 10th in the nation with four power-play goals and is 12th in scoring by a defenseman with 0.76 points-per game.
