An offensive explosion for Potsdam in first period keeps them in step with the top of the standings.
Eight seconds apart, PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Ryan Merriman scored two goals to start a barrage of goals for Potsdam. James McDonald would tally a hat trick in the first while Matt Merriman and Robbie Scott each scored in a seven goal first period.
The Icemen responded winning the second period 2-0 on the back of Andy Fyckes 13 second period saves and goals by Tom Fiacco and Chuck Wagstaff.
The Stoners put up three more goals in the third with power play goals by Trevor Keleher and Jeff Pignona and an even stregth marker by Nate Carey. Sam Miller stopped 21 for Potsdam.
