DEPEYSTER CAR-BUGGY ACCIDENT SENDS BUGGY DRIVER TO SYRACUSE HOSPITAL--State Police say 20-year-old Verna Yoder sustained a head injury when she struck the pavement after being thrown from the west-bound buggy struck by a car on State Route 184 southwest of Heuvelton about 5pm Sunday. The driver of the car, 72-year-old Helen Smithers of Wardell Road was not hurt. No tickets were issued.
TWO DOGS, TWO ADULTS ESCAPE FROM NORFOLK HOUSE FIRE--Norfolk Fire Department and numerous other departments responded to the scene of a blaze at the residence of Steve and Roberta Jenne at 80 Lacomb Road about 11:15 Sunday morning. Nobody was hurt; the cause of the fire is still under investigation. Firefighters were able to save some of the structure.
FOUR HOMELESS FROM RICHVILLE HOUSE FIRE--Christopher and Jen Sharpe of 532 County Route 20 were ejected from their home as flames destroyed the house. Investigators label the loss 'total'. The call came in about 10:30 last night; Richville firefighters and mutual aid were on the scene well into the overnight hours.
