Out-shot by a four to one margin, the Golden Bears kept it close but Potsdam manages enough fire power to win.
SUBWAY SUB OF THE GAME Jake Watson kept Canton in the contest with 18 first period saves. But on a power play the Golden Bears would yield a short handed goal to Nate Carey at 5:46 of the second period. The Golden Bears tied the game after creating a turnover and Rick Huber knocking home a Matt Mende pass at 7:16.
Late in the second, Potsdam was able to knock home the game winner as PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME James McDonald tucked home a scramble goal with 1:05 to go.
McDonald added an assist to his night providing a helper to Robbie Scott's insurance marker in the third. Devin Crary stopped 10 in the win for Potsdam while Watson halted 38 for Canton.
