POTSDAM TRUSTEES OPPOSE PROPERTY TAX CAP IDEA--The board voted unanimously to approve a resolution protesting the concept by Governor-Elect Andrew Cuomo to implement a 2-percent cap on village and school district tax hikes. Village Administrator David Fenton says it would be a disaster knowing that health insurance and retirement costs will rise well above the rate of inflation; Trustee George Regan says "...the state has no problem cashing OUR checks."
