PRISON CONTRABAND CASE PUTS TWO MEN IN JAIL--State Police with the assistance of state corrections officers say 30-year-old Michael Larock of Norfolk allegedly threw a package containing prescription drugs, a sharp knife, and marijuana into the yard at Bare Hill Correctional Facility in Malone. He had been released from prison on parole and was free only two days before his arrest late last week. His father, 55-year-old Donald Larock of Ogdensburg allegedly participated with his son in the incident and was charged with conspiracy. The son was jailed without bail until a parole hearing, the father was committed to Franklin County lockup on 50-thousand dollars cash bail or 100-thousand dollars bail bond.
FALLS FELON FACES FURTHER FELONY, PLUS WEAPON COUNT--State Police in Malone say 24-year-old Thomas Wilcox allegedly went to a residence in St.Regis Falls he was ordered to stay away from, and was also near a child he was likewise ordered to stay away from. He also allegedly possed a shotgun, as a convicted felon he could not have one. Wilcox was charged with felony first degree contempt and a misdemeanor weapon charge Saturday, arraigned before a Waverly justice and sent to Franklin County Lockup on 10-thousand dollars cash bail or 20-thousand dollars bail bond.
CRASH INTO UTILITY POLE BRINGS DWI CHARGE FOR LISBON MAN--Sheriff's Deputies say 48-year-old Joseph Kelly of Tracy Road allegedly crashed into a pole at the intersection of Tracy and Moran Roads about 11:30 Saturday night shearing off the pole. He was found to allegedly have a BAC of .11%. Kelly was released on a court appearance ticket.
CENTRAL NEW YORK MAN ACCUSED OF SELLING "E" IN POTSDAM--24-year-old Corey Ramsden of Skaneateles allegedly told a quantity of Ecstasy to an undercover informant, and was charged with felony sale Friday. Ramsden was arraigned and released to probation supervision until future court dates. Police say more charges are pending the completion of their investigation with the assistance of the county Drug Task Force.
