WEST DAM HYDRO PLANT PARTS SET TO ARRIVE 8AM THURSDAY--That's what Potsdam Village Administrator David Fenton told Trustees Monday. Suppliers to Canadian Turbine have been paid; parts that have languished for many months have been released for delivery. Trustees voted Monday to release funds for turbine blades in Italy to be released for shipment. The Board entered into a deal with Canadian Turbine last month to pay suppliers; the contractor had awaited payment for other jobs for some time keeping the deliveries stalled.

FOUR PEOPLE ARRESTED, ONE JAILED FOR MORLEY VEHICLE BREAK-INS, THEFTS--Sheriff's Detectives say the department got reports early Monday morning about thefts from vehicles, and a suspect vehicle headed toward Lisbon. The vehicle was stopped; Deputies turned up numerous stolen goods to include GPS units, I-Pods, cash, and other loot. 35-year-old Danny Staton and 35-year-old Kelly Staton, both of Five Mile Line Road in Lisbon; 31-year-old Trina Petrie of Ogdensburg, and 27-year-old Jessica Thomas of Ogdensburg were all charged with three counts each of misdemeanor Petit Larceny. Lisbon Town Justice Phil Fonda jailed Thomas on 1000 dollars cash bail or 2-thousand dollars bail bond; the rest were released to probation until future court dates. The sheriff's department warns of increased theft activity in recent days, never leave valuables in an unlocked vehicle, even on your own property.

OGDENSBURG TEEN CHARGED WITH BREAK-IN, THEFT--Deputies arrested 18-year-old Christian Leeder early Monday morning on felony counts of Criminal Mischief and Grand Larceny, and a misdemeanor mischief count alleging he entered a residence on Bromaghin Road in the Town of Oswegatchie, broke a door, and took about 1300 dollars in cash and a watch valued at 300 dollars. Leeder was arraigned and jailed on 2-thousand dollars cash bail or 4-thousand dollars bail bond.

"ICE COLD POTSDAM" EXHIBIT OPEN AT POTSDAM PUBLIC MUSEUM--The exhibit of ice-cutting and harvesting tools, and items about ice hockey, ice carnivals, ice skating, and ice storms opened Sunday and runs until March 15th. Over 600 local school students will see the exhibit within the next few weeks.
