St.Regis Mohawk Tribal Police say a 14-year-old boy driving a pick-up traveled off Route 37 near the Wolf Clan about 9:40 Sunday night. The collision knocked out power for a time until the repair was made. The youth was transported to Cornwall Community Hospital; injuries were not believed to be serious. The boy will be charged; police told us this morning alcohol was not believed to be a factor. The second crash occurred about 2:30 Sunday morning...a pick-up collided with a pole off Route 37 near Tarbell Road. The crash brought down lines struck by a tractor-trailer; the lines pulled down a second pole. The as-yet unidentified pick-up driver is believed to have left the scene in another vehicle.
