Massena Girls Score One In Each Half to Shut Out Flyers

99 SPORTS FEATURE GAME ON 1470 AM WPDM

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS SOCCER

MASSENA 2, NORWOOD-NORFOLK 0

The Red Raiders keep pace with the top of the Central in downing the Flyers at Mike Nicholas Field.

Halfway through the first half, Massena stole a Norwood-Norfolk goal kick and pressured the Flyer defense as Kylie Buckshot scored the game winner in the 21st minute.

Early on in the second half, PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Christina Schriver sent a 30 yard drive on goal and scored an insurance tally as Ashley Hawn made three saves in the shut out. Helping in the shut out was the play of Coree Phillips who was awarded the EVANS AND WHITE TOUGH AS NAILS PLAYER OF THE GAME.

Brynn Tebo halted seven shots and Katie Levison earned SUBWAY SUB OF THE GAME honors.
