POTSDAM 24, MALONE 12

Potsdam clinches the number one seed in the Class A Football playoffs with a strong second half defensive effort.

Potsdam forced five turnovers in all with three interceptions and two fumble recoveries, one for a touchdown. Ryan Lashomb got Potsdam on the board first capping a 13 play drive with a one yard run in the first quarter. Malone responded in the second as Mitch Gallagher found Jordan Cosgrove from 18 yards out to tie the game with seven minutes to go in the half.

Potsdam turned the ball over on a fumble to start the third but Malone gave it right baclk on a PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME John Coleman interception which led to Jesse Bradish's five yard run to pay dirt to give the Stoners the lead. On the next drive, the Huskies coughed the ball up at their goal line as Josh Adams recovered the fumble in the end zone for the score to push the lead to 18-6 in the fourth quarter.

A Joey Tousignant kick off return to the Potsdam 17 yard line midway through the fourth quarter gave Malone hope as linemen SUBWAY SUB OF THE GAME Greg Monica ran it in from two yards out to cut the Potsdam lead to six. The first play of the next Stoner drive, John Coleman busted a QB keeper down the field for 61 yards and six plays later scored from one yard out to close out the scoring

Adams then intercepted a Gallagher pass to polish off the game as Coleman accumulated 119 yards on 13 carries and Zac Linsky carried the ball 21 times for 109 yards. Derrick Smith anchored both the offensive and defensive lines to earn EVANS AND WHITE TOUGH AS NAILS PLAYER OF THE GAME.

Malone's Jordan Cosgrove caught four balls for 86 yards.
