Potsdam Football Improves To 3-0 With Win Over Peru |

The Stoners improve to 3-0 with a solid effort at home versus a winless Peru team.
After a scorelss first quarter, the first play of the second was the first pass of the game for Potsdam as freshman Will Coleman found Josh Adams open down field for a 39 yard TD pass. After the Sandstoners forced a turnover on downs against the Indians, Zac Linsky busted his longest play from scrimmage going 76 yards for the score and added a tow point conversion to give Potsdam a 16-0 lead.
Peru answered back with a 12 play drive capped off by a QB keeper by Zack Kenny five yards out to cut the hafltime lead to 16-6.
Potsdam's Ryan Lashomb intercepted a Kenny pass early in the third as on the next play Linsky went 43 yards ot paydirt to increase the lead to 24-6. Deep inside Potsdam's end of the field PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Todd Sharlow recovered a fumble and returned it close to midfield and after a face mask call pushed the ball closer to Indians territory. That drive was capped off by a Jesse Bradish's 6 TD run.
SUBWAY SUB OF THE GAME Peru's Tyler Murphy closed the scoring with TD catch of 26 yards as Kenny went an efficant 14 for 19 for 185 yards passing. Mike Holdridge caught five balls for 57 yards.
For Potsdam Zac Linsky ran the ball 22 times for 200 yards to lead Potsdam and Bradish added 72 yards on the gorund and Jacob Moose was awarded our EVANS AND WHITE TOUGH AS NAILS PLAYER OF THE GAME for his efforts on specail teams and defense.
