Tupper Lake Girls Lead by Three But Hold On For One Goal Win

Four straight second half goals help Madrid-Waddington to the Dan Rose semi win on a cold and rainy afternoon.

The Colts looking for their first league win got on the board first as Yellow Jackets goalie Alex Brock misplayed a clear as it went back to the goal finally finished off by EVANS AND WHITE TOUGH AS NAILS PLAYER OF THE GAME James McFaddin for the 1-0 lead.

After the break, the Jackets recieved a favroable bounce as Zack Marcellus scored on a scramble in the 47th min and then nine minutes later PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Quinn Shoen would tap in a cross from Kody Sharlow to give M-W the lead for good.

A penalty kick goal by Sharlow and a SUBWAY SUB OF THE GAME Brom Steinburg tally gave the Jackets insurance as Brock stopped in the win and Tory Boyce 13 for the Colts. M-W next faces Heuvelton in the championship on Saturday morning.

A wild wet contest from start to finish saw the visiting Lumberjacks start strong and hold off the pesky Yellow Jackets at the Dan Rose Tournament

Tupper Lake began the game with a 2-0 lead in the first six minutes as PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Kyla Kenyon scored both goals and scored the game winner in the second half after M-W scored three unanswered to tie the game at 3-3.

Shelby MacIntosh sent a long ball towards goal which was mishandled by Kelsie St. Louis and cross the goal line, Then Katie Marcellus finished a pass from SUBWAY SUB OF THE GAME Megan Gabri before Marcellus helped on the game tying goal assisting on EVANS AND WHITE TOUGH AS NAILS PLAYER OF THE GAME Taylor Lenny marker.

Kenyon blasted a right wing drive to the left corner for the game winnner in the 69th min as St. Louis halted 14 for the Lumberjacks and Lauren Sharpe 12 for M-W. Tupper Lake takes on Lisbon in the tourney finals on Saturday
