Massena Silver and Black Done For 2010 |
SILVER AND BLACK DONE FOR 2010 SEASON
99 Sports has confirmed though a statement by Head Football Coach Jim Compeau that the Massena Silver and Black will not play for the remainder of the 2010 Season not fullfilling there obligation to the Empire Football League. In his statement Compeau resigned as head football coach as the rest of the players and coaches have ceased any activities. Compeau said thier has been unfair damage to the Massena Silver and Black name and that the actions of one is not indicitive of many. Compeau told 99 Sports that players have until week seven of the season to sign with another team and that the team, even though they struggled, deserved a better fate.

CHAMBERS CLAIMS ELKS STATE GOLF TOURNAMENT
Potsdam native Mike Chambers finished with a 79 at the North Country Golf Club in Rouses Point, NY to claim the 15-16 Boys Championship at 55th Annual Elks Club Association Tournament.
CLARKSON HIRES CUMMINGS AS WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ASSISTANT
The Clarkson University Athletic Department announced the hiring of Emily Cummings as the new Women's Assistant Basketball coach. She spent four years at Connecticut College where she scored 698 points averaging 11.5 points for her career. She will assist new Women's Head Coach John Hampton.
