MADILL TO GO TO ASIA TO FURTHER PRO HOCKEY CAREER
The Nippon Paper Cranes of the Asia League Ice Hockey (ALIH) announced Monday the signing of former St. Lawrence standout Mike Madill.
Madill, a native of Kirkland, Quebec, spent the past three seasons with the Las Vegas Wranglers of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). In 205 contests with Las Vegas, Madill compiled 15 goals and 59 assists. A defenseman, Madill also played three games in the American Hockey League (AHL) during the 2007-08 season with Quad City (two games) and Milwaukee (one contest). Madill starred at St. Lawrence from 2002 through 2006. He competed in 154 collegiate contests with the Saints, amassing 63 points, including 14 goals.
