POTSDAM TOWN COUNCIL GETS PRO AND CON ARGUMENTS ON OUTDOOR WOOD BOILERS--The Council took input Thursday from area residents concerned about State DEC regulatory proposals on the outdoor furnaces. Comments ranged from concern over particulate matter in the air, to the proposal boilers installed before a certain date would be non-compliant. The Council is expected to deliver the comments to the DEC in a hearing June 23rd at the Town Of Harrietstown Hall in Saranac Lake.

WINDOW SMASHED IN DOMESTIC INCIDENT, CANTON MAN JAILED--Canton Police say 39-year-old Robert Hayes allegedly sent a table through a window, damaged a china cabinet and broke several other items in a dispute about 12:30 this morning on Miner St. Hayes was charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief and other counts, arraigned and jailed on 1500 dollars cash or 3000 dollars bond.

BAR PATRON HEAD-BUTTS BARTENDER, ARRESTED--Potsdam Police arrested 26-year-old Matthew Mallette of Massena late last night after an incident stemming from when he was refused service at a downtown establishment. Mallette was ticketed for harassment and other counts and released to appear in court later.
