CANTON MAN STRUCK BY CAR, RECOVERING IN VERMONT--Canton Police say 73-year-old Donald Adams of the Riverside Drive hi-rise was struck by an east-bound car in the cross-walk at the intersection of Main Street and Riverside Drive about 5:15 Saturday afternoon. The car was driven by 29-year-old Jamie Bennett of Colton. Adams was transported by Canton Rescue to Canton-Potsdam Hospital, then transferred to Fletcher-Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vermont. Hi-rise residents told 99 News last night Adams received a broken pelvis. The investigation is ongoing; charges are pending.
COLTON MAN CHARGED WITH FELONY FOR POTSDAM BAR CODE FRAUD--Sheriff's Deputies arrested 25-year-old John Nesbitt of Mud Pond Rd. Sunday on a felony count of third degree burglary and a misdemeanor petit larceny charge alleging he took the UPC off a 500-dollar camera and switched it with a 170-dollar camera at the Potsdam Wal-Mart, from which he was ordered to stay away. Nesbitt was arraigned and released to probation until future court dates.
