BOYS BASKETBALL: Potsdam 64, Massena 53: Breaking free from a 14-13 lead after the first quarter with a 18-8 second quarter run, the Stoners stayed unbeaten in the Central League keyed by balanced scoring. Zach Adams finished with 15 points on six for seven shooting and grabbed six rebounds and collected two assists to lead the Stoners. Jon Coleman (four assists, two rebounds, 6-9 field) and Chris Whispell (nine rebounds, four assists, 6-11 field) each logged 13 points while Josh Adams (6-9 field, six rebounds) added 12 points. Scott Bartenstein scored 11 points more for Potsdam to compliment four rebouns and three assists. For Massena, Taylor Elsner (6-8 field) scored 15 points and posted six rebounds while Brady Condlin hit two three¹s in a 12 point, six rebound, four assists and three steal performance. Troy Myers (nine points, three rebounds, four assists), Trevor Bacon (eight points, seven rebounds) and JP Dumas (seven points, four assists, two steals) also contributed to the Raider effort.

Alec Weir tallied 22 points and Jason Thomas generated 19 points to pace Harrisville who broke free from a 32-25 halftime lead in NAC West League play. Colin Baker tossed in two threes for eight while Gavin Kiggins added seven. Colin Learn scored 22 points and posted five rebounds for Morristown. Jeff King added seven while Josh Youngs scored six. Ben Fuller led the rally scoring 13 of his 19 points and Jon Davison, who scored a game-high 22 points, buried a three-pointer with 2.5 seconds to play to send the contest into overtime. Brothers, who struck for nine points in the second quarter, led the winners with 18 points and Andy Ross followed 14. Brothers connected for the game-winner after E-K¹s Dave Bullock finished off a 14-point, 11-rebound, six-steal effort with two free throws with 29.6 seconds to play.

The Yellowjackets (2-1) received scoring from nine players led by Quinn Shoen¹s 11 points and seven points each from Alex Brock and Jordan Kendall. A 21-6 first quarter advantage sparked the Hermon-DeKalb Girls Basketball team past Lisbon 54-36 on Thursday evening in Northern Athletic Conference West League play. Brianna Sayer generated 16 points keyed by seven for 11 free throw shooting to pace the Demons. She also collected six boards, five steals and three assists. Kelly Williams followed with 13 points and five rebounds. Kaylee O¹Donnell chipped in 10 points (six for 10 free throws), four rebounds, three steals and six assists. Rochelle Whitton added nine points, nine steals, seven assists and pulled down a board. Other Demons contributions came from: Angelica Scales (four points, four rebounds, and three assists), Francesca Trembley (two points, four rebounds, six steals).
