HUNTING ACCIDENT IN POTSDAM--the Potsdam Rescue Squad, State Police and Sheriff's deputies were called between 7:30 and 8 this morning to Dayton Road, where a male hunter was apparently shot in the abdomen. A flight to either Burlington or Syracuse was in the works; the victim was set to be stabilized at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Further details are forthcoming.

MORE JAIL INMATES ARRESTED IN JAIL SUBOXONE-SMUGGLING CASE--Sheriff's deputies say 24-year-old Michael Labaff of Potsdam and 26-year-old Andrew Sharpe of Ogdensburg were arrested yesterday on felony counts alleging their role in bringing the anti-withdrawal agent into the correctional facility in early September. Both men were arraigned and released until future court dates. Several other arrests have been made in the same case.
