MASSENA DOUBLE ASSAULT BRINGS ARREST--Village Police say 27-year-old Peter Griffin of Massachusetts, staying in Massena was arrested late Tuesday morning after he allegedly assaulted a former girlfriend and another male at a residence on Center Street a few hours earlier. Both victims required hospital treatment, police say. Griffin was charged with two counts of Third Degree Assault, a misdemeanor; arraigned and jailed on 10-thousand dollars bail.
OVER 5-GRAND STOLEN FROM COUNTY; FORMER EMPLOYEE CHARGED WITH THEFT--Canton Village Police have arrested 35-year-old Tammy Monroe of Norfolk on a felony count of Grand Larceny, alleging she skimmed over 5-thousand dollars from the Community Development Program when she was employed as a payroll clerk. Monroe was arraigned and released to probation supervision until future court dates.
