US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand announced this afternoon two proposals of 75-million-dollars each for the Transportation Reauthorization package her chamber is currently working on...one for a stand-alone, four-lane highway from Watertown to Champlain; and a four-lane highway coordinated with existing infrastructure along Route 11 from Watertown to Rouses Point....the 'Northern Tier Expressway' project proposed to Gillibrand by the Massena BDC.  The two projects are 'priorities' in the package, part of an economic development track that includes broadband internet, high-speed rail, bridges, and other road projects.
