DEVELOPER SAYS NORWOOD RAILROAD MUSEUM PROJECT AMBITIOUS, BUT DOABLE--The Village of Norwood, the Town of Potsdam, and a committee formed by Norwood Mayor Jim Mc.Faddin is working on the development of a museum in the Mechanic Street neighborhood, once vital but now run-down. Planning and Development Director Fred Hanss told the Empire Zone Administrative Board last week the neighborhood needs extensive infrastructure improvements, but 'we've seen worse,' and the museum would be a good anchor for the village's downtown revitalization plan, drawing thousands of people.

OGDENSBURG TEENS CHASE COP, JAILED--Sheriff's Deputies say 17-year-old Tanner Lawrence and 17-year-old Decodie Adams allegedly made a u-turn on Ogdensburg City Police Officer Danielle Pryce as she was driving home about 3am Sunday, flashing their lights and pulling alongside trying to force her off the road. Pryce stopped at a residence to get help; the teens allegedly got out and approached her. Pryce pulled her pistol and ordered them to drop; the teens refused and took off; their vehicle was spotted in Lisbon and they were stopped. The pair was arraigned on numerous felony and misdemeanor counts and jailed on 5-thousand dollars cash bail or 10-thousand dollars bail bond.

MASSENA MAN JAILED AFTER DOMESTIC ASSAULT--Village Police say 44-year-old Joseph Cortese of North Main Street allegedly threw a wicker table at his female victim, and allegedly refused to let her leave the residence early Sunday morning. Cortese was charged with Felony Second Degree Assault, arraigned and jailed on 25-thousand dollars cash bail or 50-thousand dollars bail bond.

BARCLAY GIVES WAR EFFORT FULL SUPPORT--Will Barclay, a hopeful for the 23rd Congressional District seat, told the St.Lawrence County Conservative Committee last week that terrorism needs to be stopped, if not the response to 9-11 it would have been in response to something else in the future.
