99 NEWS HEADLINES FOR SATURDAY, 6/20/09 FATAL CRASH ON ROUTE 56 NORTH--State Police in Canton say two vehicles collided on the Potsdam-Norwood Road near TJ Toyota about 12:20 this morning, one with a 56-year-old male as the driver and lone occupant who is deceased and the other with a 27-year-old female driver and three passengers--all of whom were hurt. Troopers say the male driver of the first vehicle crossed the center line into the other, south-bound auto. BCI will release more details, including names later today. FATAL CRASH IN MORRISTOWN--State Police based in Ogdensburg report 37-year-old Jay Osterhout of Lisbon was found dead in a vehicle that traveled off Route 37 about 7:30 Thursday night. The car appears to have become airborne after hitting a steel wire fence and a pile of rocks. The undercarriage of the car was damaged. An autopsy was performed yesterday. HEARING-VOTE ON PROPOSED CPH ZONING JULY 7TH--Potsdam trustees held a worksession Thursday on the Draft Environmental Assessment Form under state-mandated environmental qaulity review of zoning for the campus of Canton-Potsdam Hospital and surrounding neighborhood.
