The Green Demons start another run to a sectional crown with their second straight upset win over Heuvelton in as many years.
Scoreless until the fifth inning, SUBWAY SUB OF THE GAME Cody Cleveland started the top of the fifth with a single, stole second, and came around to score on a Shawn Brown single for the winning run. Two consecutive hit by pitches led to Tyler Amo scoring from third with the bases loaded to tack on an insurance run.
More than enough for PEPSI PLAYER OF THE GAME Kory Besaw who sturck out six and picked off two runners on first base. With two outs in the sixth Heuvelton's Blair Davis tried to stretch a double into a triple but was gunned down on a throw from center field to end the inning. H-D added one more run in the seventh on a Logan Allen RBI double as Shawn Brown and Tyler Amo each stroked two singles in the win.
The Green Demons next face Morristown on Monday in the Class D Semi-Finals.
